My sister in law got me reading these books called Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Very cute and charming series. It is a bit like Harry Potter, in that he doesn't know who he really is until a few strange things start happening to him at school. But he is really a lovable character.
Lucky for me/us they are making a movie about the first book Lightening Thief. It comes out the 12th of February.
So if you are looking for a new book to ready, I would suggest these. They are easy reads, and yet intense.

I just started reading those too! I am loving them. I finished the first book in two days (only took me that long cause I had work)
