hunger

There are no words to tell you what this book is about. There are no words to describe how absolute and irrevocably I was drawn into this story.
I had to take the book with me in my purse for days after ward, just because I couldn't stand to be away from Katniss and Peeta. Even through mere words.
If you have not read this book. Read it. Trust me. It isn't like anything you've read before.
P.S. Thank you Rhonda for recommending this book. And thanks for those that gave me an ultimatum for reading it. You know who you are.

dumber

I got a new phone. It is WAY smarter than me.

If anyone has any ideas about how to work the dang thing, Please by all means, let me know!

Okay, friends! I think it is more a matter of tradition now. But here is the Twilight Saga: Eclipse trailer. Though 90 seconds isn't NEARLY enough!

Wonderland

Okay. I am not a fan of Tim Burton. I am not a fan of Johnny Depp. So I have to say that going to see the new collaborative effort of the two on Alice in Wonderland, I wasn't really all that excited about going. So I didn't.
While at the theater to see another film (Ghost Writer. Not good. Don't see it) There were people lined up to see Alice. And they were SERIOUS about seeing this movie. They dressed up and actually had parities. I thought that the Harry Potter freaks and the Twihards were odd. Nope! I think the Alice freaks took the cake! More power to you. I hope you enjoyed the movie.

Blue

Do you find this photo as sad and depressing as I do? It makes me want to get in bed and just curl up and be sad.

Welcome to the end of February beginning of March for me. I hate HATE this time of year. It is the most depressing, sad, horrible time of the whole year. I think I would rather stand in Times Square on NYE for the year 2000 every day for a month- than live through this time of the year. The beginning of this week we had really beautiful weather. Sunshine. Warm. Windows down. And now.. it is snowing outside. I could just...cry. I truly know what it is like to "feel blue". Because, honestly- that is what it feels like on the inside. And not a bright happy blue. But the gray yucky blue.
Please please please Spring. I am begging you from the bottom of my heart, please come soon. It is a matter of life or death! Please?

enlightenment

I would like to say that I have been selfish for the past few months. Yes, I realize that maybe it is because it have the tendency to do that, since I don't really "share" my life with anyone. And that is okay. For now.

But recently, my friend (I'll keep her name absent from this post because I don't know how public she wants her struggle to be) started a blog about her and her husband's struggle to get pregnant.

It really struck something inside of me while reading her posts.

-- Things do not get easier when you are married. Life isn't really a walk in the park just because you have a ring on your finger of your left hand. Life is still difficult. And sometimes heart breaking.
If she is reading this... I want her to know that I really am grateful to her, for her candid blog. Because I may not fit the profile of the women she was hoping to reach by posting her feelings about infertility. But I do want her to know that it has changed the way that I look at things from now on. We all have our trials. And I am glad that she has shared what she has learned from hers so that I can learn from it also.

unrequited

This is Blake and I. I think we have a pretty good relationship. Here is our last phone conversation consisted of:
Me: How much do you love me?
Blake: Like, the normal amount.
Me: How much is that?
Blake: Somewhere between getting stabbed and a really good visit to the bathroom.
It must be a really deep love.....
